INTERNSHIP FOR VETERINARIANS OR STUDENTS OF VETERINARY MEDICINE  

GENERAL: minimum time for staying: 2 weeks we offer a free double bed room with shower/WC inclusive sheets and towels. A fully equipped kitchen with washing machine is at your disposal vegan lunch is provided (together with the rest of staff).  For breakfast and dinner trainees have to take care themselves (shopping with somebody who has a car or a shopping list given to staff members). greens are available for working hours old clothes are convenient (group housing of very happy dogs!) WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?: our centre is in the middle of nowhere and unfortunately there is no public transportation within walking distance if you arrive by train: the station you will need to disembark at is VILLA LITERNO (between Rome and Naples )  if you come by aeroplane: Naples Capodichino Airport (cheap flights from the UK (London Stansted) to Naples with Easy Jet)  We will pick you up from either the station or the airport, provided we are informed (in good time!!) of day and time! best is in your own car: 40 km north on the Via Domitiana (old Roman street from Naples to Formia) WORKING HOURS: In our clinic the surgeries are every morning from Monday to Thursday (9am to 2pm), 95 % is spaying/neutering.  In the afternoon on these days (3pm to 6pm) and on Saturdays (10am to 6pm) the clinic is open for visits without appointments.  Fridays and Sundays it is closed, but there is a vet on duty for the shelter animals.        WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVE: Treatment and check-up’s of the internal clients, blood samples and analysis, faeces samples, urine samples, assistance during surgery (pace by pace and under control of one of our vets you will learn how to spay and neuter dogs and cats), assistance during visits of private and stray animals (75% in Italian language, vets all speak English).
